Honey Brook Memorial Day Parade

Alvin L. Leisey, Jr. with his great grandson, Eli Baker (in the middle of the float), son of Jeffrey and Laura Baker, and grandson of Mary Ellen Leisey Baker in the 2017 Honey Brook, Pennsylvania Memorial Day Parade. Alvin received The Purple Heart after being wounded by a sniper and blown out of a foxhole on Engebi Island on the Eniwetkk Atoll in WWII.

The pictures at the bottom of the float on the right side are: Alvin Leisey, Melvin T. Leisey, a gunnery mate on an LST that was one of the few LSTs to survive the Battle of Omaha Beach at Normandy France during WWII and Mary Helen Leisey, wife of Alvin L. Leisey, Jr., who was a Nurse in the Cadet Nursing Corp in Deshon Army Hospital during WWII.
